Nice little catch up (it took me a minute to get here 🙄.)
The retreat sounded really nice. Like you get to sit with you thoughts and write them out - I know you do that a lot, but I have trouble focusing with 4 kids running around.
How old is your daughter again? Did she enjoy the retreat overall? I would love to take my 10 year old sometime. That would be incredible for both of our brains, I think! Can't wait for the My Oceans!!
Hi Sarah! The retreat was so special, and such a treat for both of us in different ways. My daughter is 9. There was a kids program that took the kids for multiple hours a day and she fit in perfectly with a little motley crew of tiny Bodhisattvas. lol. They did art, practiced meditating in child-appropriate ways, created skits, practiced mindful eating, listened to Buddhist stories. She loved it, but I think it really depends on the nature of the child. I described the camp to my daughter beforehand and she was like, "100! I want to go!" I invited my son too, and he said, "Sitting meditation mom? Do you know me at all? Hard no." lol. So yeah, match the material to the child? :)
Which website? (I'm working on my new author website but only launched it last night and it's full of bugs, which I'm fixing at this very minute. Is that what you already found? I didn't think anyone would have stumbled upon it yet!)
Assistant for what? :) I feel like I'm just scrambling like everyone else. lol.
The new website is listed in your little bio section. I think that's how I got there b/c I knew you had the seeking sol, but not a self titled one. The bio shows up at the end of a post, if that helps at all.
I know, assistant, whaat? lol. but if you needed one one day, I'll be around. Just a friend until then, haha
I love that instagram post - your life in slides - so much!
